Monica Miller is the owner and President of Sacramento Advisors, LLC, which she founded after almost three decades of experience in the political arena. Having worked on campaigns, as a consultant to members of the Senate and the Assembly and was a long-time lobbyist at a top ten lobbying firm in Sacramento. Ms. Miller launched Sacramento Advisors, LLC to take her passion for lobbying to another level. She enjoys helping clients navigate the legislative and budget process and continues to promote their interests with her lobbying firm.

She has had the pleasure of representing the interests of her clients related to social services, aging and long-term care, water policy, housing and homelessness and food insecurity, just to name a few. With her local government and non-profit clients Ms. Miller has a keen sense of how to navigate the state budget process whether working towards obtaining budget augmentations or defending proposed budget cuts.

Prior to launching Sacramento Advisors, LLC she successfully worked her way up to a lobbyist position at a top ten lobbying firm. Ms. Miller cut her teeth in the political arena working on issues related to healthcare, local government, budget and finance, social services, and association management. She works closely with her clients to strategically navigate the budget process, moving sponsored bills through the legislative process and educating them on the politics “under the dome” in addition to successfully defeating legislation detrimental to her clients.

In addition to lobbying, Ms. Miller also spends time working in the community to nurture her philanthropic side She has raised funds to support local non-profits around foster youth, the arts and ensuring that the local healthcare system meets their patients where they are. In this capacity she has served at a variety of different levels including but not limited to serving as the fundraising chair, as a member of various boards or the steering/subcommittees including organizing charitable events for those non-profits to support their work in the community.

Ms. Miller currently lives in Sacramento with her husband, Chris, where she enjoys yoga, traveling and playing with her two rescue dogs, Barry and Rocky.
